The 14 members of the council including 12 council members from 5 electoral districts and 2 proportional representatives were elected on June 1, 2022 through the 8th Nationwide Local Elections. The chairman and vice chairman for the first half of the council were elected on July 7, 2022. The steering committee was established and the chairman for the committee was elected on the 11th. The first half of the 9th council which started in the Era of Local Autonomy 2.0, is carrying out its duties actively to achieve a “Council Where the Residents are the True Owners”.

14 members including 12 members from 5 electoral districts and 2 proportional representatives were elected through the 7th Local Elections held on June 13, 2018. The chair and vice chair for the first half of the 8th Dobong District Council were elected on July 9, 2018 and on July 11 of the same year, the standing committees were established and chair and vice chair for the committees were elected. A new council chair was elected through a by-election on March 22, 2019 and 1 council member from Electoral District Ra was elected through a by-election on April 15, 2020. The 14 members of the council then actively carried out their ‘field-centered’ council activities. The chair and vice chair of the second half of the 8th Dobong District Council were elected on July 1, 2020 and on the next day, the standing committees were formed and vice and vice chair of the committees were elected. Currently, the members of the second half of the 8th Dobong District Council are working their utmost to serve the citizens as a communicative council.

14 Dobong-gu District Council Members were elected during the 6th National Local Election on June 4th of 2014. Accordingly, the chairman, vice chairman, and standing committee members were composed to lead the 7th Dobong-gu District Council on July 8th of 2014. The council will do the best to improve activities by promising to become a council communicating with the district citizens while improving the promotion of welfare of citizens.

On June 2, 2010, the 14 council representatives were elected by the 5th National and Local election. On July 7, 2010, the chairman and vice chairman, and standing committee were constituted in the 199th extra meeting for the 6th Dobong district council. We, all representatives always listen to the people and do our best to be with people. And also we hope that hopeful voices never stop in this council for our new future.

In the 4th nationwide local election on May 31st, 2006, 14 members were elected in Dobong-gu and the 5th Dobong-gu council was opened. On July 7th, 2006 of the 161th irregular meeting, the presiding group of the 5th Dobong-gu council and standing committee were organized, proclaiming that as the local representative organization, the council would fulfill the functions improving the welfare system, representing the voices and realizing the meaning and values of local autonomy.
